Bij het maken van rotaties is het aan te raden gebruik te maken van continu licht. Zo kun je het product op de draaitafel goed uitlichten en tijdens een proefrotatie al vast zien hoe de lichtval is. Bij flitslicht is dit veel lastiger vast te stellen, omdat de richtlampen in de flitsers veel zwakker zijn dan de flitser zelf.
